There are 15 miles of paved roads leading to this IP
(indigenous people) community linked only by dirt/human tracks which are
impassable by any vehicles up to several months due to severe weather.
Community people can only access a health facility by walking six to seven
hours through water and mud.
Our activities with local partners aim to assess levels of
poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement
between youth leaders, NGOs and people in this disadvantaged community. It is
delivered primarily by youth volunteers & partners through basic community
services, hygiene promotion, cultural / environmental campaigns, medical
missions & health educational drives. The challenges are real and precedent
is limited.
