BALIK-ESKWELA CARAVAN 2015 Distribtuion

In preparation for the school year, we handed out more than 1,500 packs of school supplies to children from low-income families in 20 different Elementary Schools in Mansalay for our Balik-Eskwela Caravan 2015. The program is supported by a number of donors and partners including generous sponsors & volunteers who donated supplies. Appreciating our KHA youth volunteers as well who mobilized for the task of packing and distributing the kits for the children despite the extreme hot weather. Thank you guys! God bless you more.

Thank you KHA sponsors & youth volunteers :) God Bless you more.

Balik Eskwela Caravan 2015

Youth volunteers gather at KHA Center today to pack school kits for our indigent & needy school children. Our goal this year is to provide school supplies to 6,500 students in need. With the support of all KHA volunteers, sponsors and community members our goal is certainly attainable. Last year, we provided school kits to 6,000 school children. Thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers & sponsors who make this very worthwhile project possible. God bless you more. #‎BalikEskwelaCaravan #‎KeepHopeAlive

Community Development Program.

There are 15 miles of paved roads leading to this IP (indigenous people) community linked only by dirt/human tracks which are impassable by any vehicles up to several months due to severe weather. Community people can only access a health facility by walking six to seven hours through water and mud.

Our activities with local partners aim to assess levels of poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between youth leaders, NGOs and people in this disadvantaged community. It is delivered primarily by youth volunteers & partners through basic community services, hygiene promotion, cultural / environmental campaigns, medical missions & health educational drives. The challenges are real and precedent is limited.
